Golden oats. One of the most valuable and ornamental grasses because of its stature and presence. Evergreen clumps give way to flowerheads that are held well above the leaves, creating a shimmering haze of golden biscuit-yellow. These can last into autumn in a sheltered spot. Most effective as a single specimen or as a series of solitary sentinels through the garden. Enjoys a warm position. June-September. 200cm.
