The Himalayan mayapple (named for its big red fruits). This used to be in the podophyllum genus and it has similar leaves and flowers. Like its cousins, it's a choice plant for cool moist, dappled shade. The open pink flowers are out first, followed by the leaves that unfurl into a parasol and which are usually mottled purple. 30cm.
